about
Earlier this week, some burglars broke into my house in Portland and stole all of the gear I used to make this upcoming EP. It's kind of uncanny as the nature of both the lyrical and sonic content are meant to articulate the gravity of the cyclical nature of loss and suffering. I'm releasing the first single as "pay what you want' to raise some money to begin replacing some of the things that were lost. Anything helps even if it's just spreading the word about this page to get it across to people who might enjoy the music.
lyrics
Open the wound, sunken eyelids,
My favorite pastime is crawling into you through your iris,
I could make you like god if you wanted,
It could've happened to you,
If everything you love wasn't lost,
But you open your mouth,
A crying aching wound.
Waste your life crying aching eyes,
Only after you die alone,
Until now you said you won't,
"I found god in a vacuum."
It doesn't really pass in rhythm,
It doesn't really ask for what you lost,
It doesn't really pass in rhythm.
An old, vapid, summer air, passing through your lungs.
A fucked head and holy war,
Are you still in the ground or something?
Au revoir, it's all I can tell you,
All of life is a path to the morgue.
Waste your life crying aching eyes,
Only after you die alone,
Until now you said you won't,
"I found god in a vacuum."
